How contributions are reviewed
From your observation to a traceable decision
You do not need a GitHub account to contribute. This platform is the primary home for submissions, discussions and scientific decisions.
1 · Private submission
We retain your text and the relevant model view. Save the private tracking link: anyone holding it can read the record and respond. Do not include patient information or clinical files.
2 · Responsible editor and triage
An authorised editor reviews the queue and records responsibility and a follow-up date. Responses, evidence requests and reasons appear on your tracking page. Being a student, member or reviewer does not grant access to all private contributions.
3 · Appropriate review
Technical reports require reproduction steps and evidence of a fix. Anatomical claims require qualified human experts in the relevant field. Triage, vote counts and working software do not establish anatomical correctness.
4 · Outcome and challenge
State changes retain their reasons. “Implementation reported” records a change; “Closed” ends triage. Neither means scientific acceptance. Use your tracking page to add evidence or request reconsideration or deletion.
Who can see what?
Private submission: holders of its link, editors with a current appointment and the project manager. General members and visitors cannot read it. Photo and privacy-review permissions are separate.
Editor responses are visible to the contributor. This desk has no separate confidential internal discussion area.
What can go to GitHub?
Only a separately prepared English task summary for a technical report. The original submission, identity, private tracking link, photos and clinical material are not automatically transferred.
You first see and approve the text; a different editor then checks privacy, rights and scope. The approved text can be downloaded, manually posted as a GitHub issue and linked here. Changes to the text or contribution require renewed approval.
Declining GitHub permission does not prevent review. Withdrawal blocks new exports; already published copies require separate removal follow-up.
Available now and next stage
Private intake and tracking, the editorial desk, responsibility and follow-up dates, reasoned responses and approved technical-summary downloads are implemented. Email delivery requires separate configuration and verification.
Field-specific expert panels, conflict-of-interest records, reasoned version-bound ballots, dissent and independent appeals are not yet functions of this desk. Academic acceptance is not declared here before those controls exist.
